Kadia Dhrow – A Hidden Natural Wonder Near Bhuj

Located not far from Bhuj in Gujarat, this fascinating geological formation looks like a small canyon carved naturally through layers of rock. Recently I visited Kadia Dhrow on a bike ride with my friend Sanjay Mahida, and the short trip turned into a memorable adventure.

Starting the Journey

We started our ride from Bhuj at 3:30 PM during late February when the weather was pleasant and comfortable for riding.

On the way we stopped at Kodki village for a quick cup of tea before continuing towards Kadia Dhrow.

The Ride to Kadia Dhrow

The road leading to the entrance of Kadia Dhrow is smooth and easy with very little traffic, making the ride relaxed and enjoyable.

However the real adventure begins in the last 3 to 4 kilometers. The road becomes sandy and filled with loose sand and rocks. Riding carefully is important here.

Although the stretch is only around 3 kilometers, it took nearly 20 minutes to reach the site. But that off-road section adds excitement to the journey.

Exploring Kadia Dhrow

Once we reached Kadia Dhrow, the landscape felt peaceful and untouched. The area is known for its unique rock formations and canyon-like structures formed naturally over time.

The surroundings are quiet and perfect for photography and nature lovers. We spent about one hour exploring the area and capturing photos and videos.

The Return Ride

As evening approached, we left Kadia Dhrow at 6:00 PM and started the return ride to Bhuj.

The ride back was smooth and relaxing and we reached Bhuj at around 7:15 PM just as the evening settled.

Final Thoughts

Kadia Dhrow is a peaceful natural destination and a small adventure at the end of a sandy road. If you enjoy exploring hidden places in Kutch, this location is definitely worth visiting.
