Flamingos at Chhari Dhand wetland

Overview

Chhari Dhand (meaning 'shallow wetland') is a breathtaking seasonal oasis on the edge of the Banni nature reserve. Unlike the white salt desert, this area transforms into a lush paradise after monsoons, hosting over 370 bird species. Fulay Village serves as the historic gateway to this protected conservation reserve.

Miles away from the tourist rush, this wetland offers absolute silence broken only by the calls of thousands of birds. The nearby Kiya Dhrow rocky patches are also rich in Jurassic-era fossils, making this a truly multi-dimensional destination.
